Request Price & AvailabilityFresh Tuna from Indonesia — primarily Yellowfin Tuna (Thunnus albacares) and Bigeye Tuna (Thunnus obesus) — is sourced from the abundant pelagic fisheries of Sulawesi and the Maluku archipelago, where the confluence of the Pacific and Indian Ocean currents creates exceptional marine biodiversity and tuna biomass. Indonesian tuna is a premium commodity in sashimi markets worldwide, where the species' high fat content, vibrant red flesh color, and clean ocean flavor command top prices.
TaMainco sources Fresh Tuna from licensed longliner vessels operating in certified fishing grounds in Sulawesi and Maluku. Our supply chain partners use established ice slurry preservation methods (0–2°C) to maintain freshness from vessel to shore, typically within 24–48 hours of catch. The fish are then graded by our experienced quality inspectors using the Japanese fat-content grading system (core temperature, pH, and visual color assessment) before processing.
Fresh tuna is exported via air freight to destination markets, packaged in insulated styrofoam master cartons with gel packs maintaining 0–2°C. The typical delivery window from Surabaya to Hong Kong, Singapore, or Tokyo is 12–24 hours — within the critical freshness window for sashimi-grade quality assessment at destination.
MSC Chain of Custody certification covers our tuna handling and processing operations, meeting the sustainability requirements of European supermarket buyers and institutional purchasers with ESG commitments. For buyers in the sushi restaurant and premium retail segment, we can provide full traceability documentation from vessel identification number to export carton.
