The product is manufactured from whole Spanish Mackerel sourced from South Sulawesi fishing grounds, filleted by hand to minimize bone fragments and maximize yield, and IQF frozen within hours of processing.
The filleting process produces clean, boneless portions (200–500g per fillet) in either skinless or skin-on options depending on buyer specification. Our quality team pin-bones each fillet using a metal detection step as part of the HACCP program, ensuring the zero visible bone tolerance required by European retail buyers. The naturally rich omega-3 content of Spanish Mackerel (typically 2–4g per 100g serving) is fully preserved through the IQF process, making this a high-value product for health-conscious retail market positioning.
BRC Grade A certification covers the complete mackerel fillet production line, including raw material intake, filleting, IQF processing, packaging, and cold storage — making this product directly eligible for UK supermarket and major European retailer supply without additional third-party audit requirements. Halal MUI certification is standard, enabling simultaneous supply to European halal retail channels and Middle Eastern buyers with a single production run.
