What to settle before you enquire about Processed Products

Processed lines are bought on consistency rather than on any single shipment being excellent. BRC Grade A indicates the facility passed an audited standard covering process control, traceability and recall procedures — which matters most when you are placing repeat orders rather than a one-off.

Shelf life should be discussed as remaining life on arrival, not as total life from production. A twenty-four month product that spends four months in transit and clearance reaches your customer with twenty. Distributors who sell into retail generally need a defined minimum remaining life, so state that figure in the order rather than assuming it.

Ask for the specification sheet and a retention sample before the first container. Comparing the sample against what actually arrives is the only practical way to verify consistency from a distance.
