Request Price & AvailabilityIndonesia's Maluku archipelago — the original "Spice Islands" that drove the age of exploration — remains the world's preeminent source of cloves, nutmeg, and mace. TaMainco's Premium Spice collection sources directly from farming cooperatives across these historic growing regions: Maluku cloves from Ternate and Tidore, Lampung black pepper from South Sumatra's premier pepper belt, Banda nutmeg from the original island of origin, Kerinci cinnamon from West Sumatra's highland farms, and Java turmeric from certified organic growing regions in Central Java.
Each commodity in the TaMainco Premium Spice portfolio is produced to ASTA (American Spice Trade Association) and SNI (Standar Nasional Indonesia) specification: moisture content below 12% for pepper and cloves, eugenol content above 18% for Maluku cloves (the highest in global production at 18–22%), and volatile oil content meeting the minimum thresholds required by EU, US, and Japanese food industry buyers. Certified organic lots are available for all five key spices, with USDA Organic certification covering the entire supply chain from farm to export container.
The Maluku clove collection is TaMainco's flagship agricultural product. Indonesia produces approximately 80% of global clove supply, with Maluku cloves commanding a premium for their exceptional eugenol content and distinctive aroma profile compared to cloves from other Indonesian regions or international origins. Our Lampung black pepper is sourced from the MCBP (Machine-Cleaned Black Pepper) program, delivering consistent bulk density (550–570 g/L) and moisture content that meets the ASTA 550 benchmark required by European spice processors.
Phytosanitary certification from Indonesia's Ministry of Agriculture is standard for all spice shipments, along with Certificate of Origin and USDA/EU residue testing documentation. Fair Trade certified lots are available from selected partner cooperatives for buyers with sustainability sourcing commitments. The minimum 500kg per commodity type enables buyers to source multiple spice varieties in a single consolidated shipment, reducing freight costs and simplifying import documentation.
