Request Price & AvailabilityVannamei Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is Indonesia's highest-volume seafood export commodity, with the nation producing over 300,000 metric tonnes annually — establishing it as one of Asia's leading producers alongside Vietnam and India. East Java and Sumatra are TaMainco's primary sourcing regions, where modern aquaculture ponds equipped with aerators, automatic feeders, and real-time water quality monitoring systems consistently produce export-grade vannamei at internationally recognized quality standards.
Indonesian vannamei shrimp enjoys structural supply advantages over competing origins: a favorable tropical climate enables 2–3 production cycles per year, abundant low-cost skilled labor in pond management keeps production costs competitive, and proximity to major processing hubs (Surabaya, Sidoarjo) minimizes the time from harvest to frozen product. TaMainco sources exclusively from HACCP and BRC-certified aquaculture operations, where antibiotic usage protocols comply with EU MRL requirements and full batch traceability is maintained from pond to export carton.
The product is available in the complete range of processing forms required by international markets: HOSO (Head-On Shell-On) for traditional Asian wet markets; HLSO (Headless Shell-On) for European and American retail; PD (Peeled & Deveined), PUD (Peeled & Undeveined), and PDTO (Peeled, Deveined, Tail-On) for foodservice and premium retail applications. All forms are IQF frozen or block frozen depending on buyer specification, with both bulk 10kg carton and retail 1–2kg consumer pack formats available.
BRC Grade A certification covering our Surabaya processing facility, combined with Halal MUI and HACCP certification, makes Indonesian vannamei from TaMainco export-ready for all major markets simultaneously — EU, UK retail, North American foodservice, Middle Eastern halal channels, and East Asian institutional buyers.
